Frequently Asked Questions

Is it safe?

YES! It is safe. Your tattoo is put under the strictest of sanitary conditions. We use a totally disposable tattoo system to protect your skin before it goes into high pressure and high temperatures.

Does getting a tattoo hurt?

YES! Receiving a tattoo is a painful process. It requires the application of pigment under the first epidermal layer of the skin. The larger the tattoo the longer it will take to complete, but small tattoos hurt less than the large ones. Keep in mind though that even if the first tattoo hurt, it doen't mean the next one will be the same. Otherwise people wouldn't get another tattoo, so think about it.

What designs can you make?

Just about any design you can think of can be made into a beautiful tattoo at Dream City Tattoos. You are more than welcome to bring your own design or pick one of our many designs. If you already have an idea of how you woud like your tattoo that is awesome! Just be sure to explain it to the artist and they will put your idea to work. The easiest way to explain it to the artist is usually with a picture and it really doesn't matter where the picture is drawn on, just as long as it is a clear image and not blurred. If you do not have the skills to draw your idea that is fine also because our artists will draw it on paper for you too!

Can you fix my old tattoo?

Old tattoos can be easily reworked into a fresh work of art. Color can be added to brighten your existing tattoo or with a little creativity even turn it into a completely new design (note: the new design might be larger).

How do I take care of my new tattoo?

It is recommended that you speak to your artist the day that you get your tattoo done. They will let you know how to take care of your tattoo since every person is different. Any further questions after leaving the shop please feel free to call (630) 660 - 7658.

In case of an emergency what do I do?

If it is very serious and you are alergic to the pigments or have a rash contact the ER or your local physician. Otherwise if it is not that serious call us at (630) 660 - 7658.
